What is a Hydraulic Nut?

The hydraulic nut is a tensioner which is permanently fixed onto the bolts, opposed to a standard nut. This makes it easier for operatots, as they do not need to remove the nut, they can keep it on the bolt. When it comes to tightening, they only have to attach the hoses and the pump.
There are two different types of a hydraulic nut; top and bottom collar and they are used depending on which type of application you have.

Typical applications

The hydraulic nut are perfect for applications where they can leave the nut fixed onto the joint to save time. Opposed to a standard tensioner these are fixed on for ease of the operators.
